Bernice E. Jennings, 80, a loving mother and grandmother, of 32 Poplin Ave., Bradford, passed away Friday (April 26, 2013) surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter, Jackie.

Born in Portageville, N.Y., on Feb. 20, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Glenn and Welthy Snell Reed. On Sept. 26, 1950, in Bradford, she married Vernon Lee Jennings, who died on June 21, 2001.
She attended Bradford area schools. She had worked at Zippo Manufacturing Co. and Ventron, but for most of her life was a homemaker. She loved scrapbooking, crocheting and using her Kindle, but most of all spending time with her family.
Surviving are two daughters, Jackie (Tim) Hall of Bradford and Debbie Jennings and her companion, John Persico of Buffalo, N.Y.; one son, Bill Jennings of Bradford; one brother, Fred Reed of Bradford; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Glenn Jennings, who died Jan. 17, 2011; three brothers; and one sister.
Family will be receiving friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., South Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish, officiating. Committal services and burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
