JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - Mary Jane Gibson, 80, of 46 W. 13th St., died Tuesday (May 7, 2013) in Heritage Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

She was born July 6, 1932, in Olean, a daughter of the late Norman and Hazel Rudesill Gibson.
She was a graduate of Bradford (Pa.) High School, Alfred University and received a master's degree in education from Fredonia State College.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Bemus Point School District as a fifth grade teacher.
She was a member of New York State Horse Show Association, American Saddle Horse Association, American Saddle Horse Show Association, Eastern Star in Bradford and the Samuel Derby Post American Legion, Frewsburg.
Surviving are a sister, Norma Griffith of Webster; a brother, Charles F. Gibson of Russell, Pa.; and a nephew, Charles D. Gibson of Ashville.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Gibson; and a sister, Ruth Schott.
No funeral service or visitation will be observed. Inurnment will be in McKean Memorial Park, Bradford.
