Edward Gable Obituary

COUDERSPORT - Edward J. Gable, 93, of Coudersport, passed away Monday (Jan. 11, 2016) at Sweden Valley Manor.
Born Oct. 23, 1922, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Edward and Elizabeth Biederman Gable.
Edward was a high school graduate, a World War 2 veteran and had worked many years as a milkman for Engel's Dairy and a security guard for the IRS. He was of the Catholic faith. He loved reading and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, the late Rita Marone Gable.
He is survived by his five children; Edward Gable of Sicklerville, N.J., Robert Gable of Fairless Hills, William Gable of Pottstown, Nancy Gruver of Coudersport and Dianna Silks of Abingdon, Md.; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
At the request of the family there will be no services. Burial will be at a later date in Bucks County.
Memorials may be made to local VA office, to the attention of William Worthington, Gunzburger Building 1st floor, 1 north Main St. Suite 215, Coudersport, PA 16915.
