Joe Lipps Obituary

Joe "Popo" Lipps, 85, of Bradford, passed away on Thursday (Jan. 19, 2017) at the Bradford Manor.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1931, in Bradford, a son of the late George and Mary Oleska Lipps.
Mr. Lipps was a member of American Legion Post 108 and the AERIE 2432 Eagles Club. Mr. Lipps was an avid golfer who enjoyed hunting, fishing and routing for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War.
Mr. Lipps was employed by the former Owens-Illinois, Bradford for several years until his retirement.
He is survived by two sons, Mike (Lori) Lipps of Lewis Run and Paul Lipps of Bradford; four daughters, Beth (Charlie) Bennett, Jodi (Bill) Patrick, Janice Lipps and Georgia "Buffy" (Dick) Newhouse, all of Bradford; one sister, Midge Dollinger of Bradford; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna "DJ" Knowlton; and nine brothers and sisters.
At his request, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home Inc.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the Bradford Manor, 50 Lang Maid Lane, Bradford, PA 16701.
