Dear Louise, Stephen, Eric, Andrew, Brooks and your families ~ My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ted, whose twinkling eyes and bright smile in this well-chosen memorial photo give me the perfect way to remember him. His joie de vivre and sunny disposition likely inspired many, many people and I count myself among them.
I last saw him in 2002, when I briefly visited the Phoenix area. Uncle Ted & Aunt Louise & Stephen enthusiastically showed me around their home, neighborhood & community. They so easily make extended family members feel welcome and at home.
Mom & I will check in with Aunt Louise soon to hear how she is doing. As long as she's got all of you there, we know she'll be fine, but grieving can take a lot of time.
Again, our deepest sympathy for the loss of a stellar husband, father, grandfather, community leader and citizen of the world. May you all be bouyed by his loving spirit surrounding you.

So sorry to see that your dad has passed away. On a lighter note, I remember him selling me a battery from his Lincoln for twelve dollars when his family was living in Pownal.

He certainly had a long productive life that will be remembered by all of those that loved him. My condolences to all of his family.

Dear Aunt Louise, Steve, Eric, Andy, Brooks, and families,

I am so sorry for your loss.

Our family will never be quite the same.

I feel like we just lost our Plymouth Rock.

Uncle Ted was a wonderful role model for all his career successes and a terrific example of dedication to his family.

I will forever cherish the memories from when we all lived close to each other in Vermont and visited often, and spent the holidays together.

No matter the occasion, Uncle Ted always found something to fix or to improve everywhere he went. When he came to Virginia for my wedding, I found him in the kitchen scrubbing my dish drainer tray!

I guess that is not a bad legacy to leave--always striving to make the world a better place than he found it.

And then of course, there is Uncle Ted's greatest accomplishment-his marriage with Aunt Louise and you wonderful BoBo Boys and all of your extended families.

Sending you my condolences and love, Robin

Dad - you were a great provider, supported four son's in their endeavor's, and were a heartfelt partner to Louise, your wife of 65 years. You proudly served; our country, your church in West Brattleboro, your communities through Rotary Club, and also your constituents in Pownal/Bennington in the Vermont State Legislature in the late 1970's. We will miss you dearly.
