Johnathan "John" Sargent
1984 - 2016 NEWFANE, VT Johnathan Mark Sargent, 31, passed away suddenly in the presence of family at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend on January 27, 2016. Johnathan was born December 28, 1984 Lenoir NC to Mark Sargent of Guilford, VT and Mary Miller of Lenior, NC. John was a life long resident of Newfane VT. John was a graduate of Leland and Gray High School Townshend where he enjoyed playing basketball. John was a jack of many trades from masonry to heating and cooling technician. John always lived life to the fullest with his favorite quotes being "live free or die" and "I'm here for a good time not a long time." John enjoyed the outdoors and taking part in many activities fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, snow-mobiling, hiking, working on his many cars and tinkering on small engines. John enjoyed bonfires and burnouts with friends. Mostly, John enjoyed playing with his daughter, Mya, and teaching her things he enjoyed doing. Survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 12 years, Katie (Williams) Sargent & daughter, Mya Sargent, father, Mark and mother, Mary, grandparents whom he often referred to as his parents, Patricia and Stephen Sargent of Newfane, big sister, Aunt Shelly Sargent Keene, sister, Destiney Sargent and step-mother, Cathy Sargent of Hinsdale, sisters, Beth Richards and Cindy Sargent, NC, mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Christopher Williams of Williamsville, sister-in-law, LeeAnn Jillson and husband, Kurt of Williamsville, life-long brothers, Jimmy Francy, Brad Heinemann and Bryan Allbee, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. John predeceased by his great-grandmother, Thelma Herbert. SERVICES: Services will be held Friday, February 5th at 11a.m. at the Newfane Congregational Church with fellowship to follow at the Newbrook Fire Dept. In lieu of flowers, donations for the Sargent family can be made to the Newfane Congregational Church, P.O. Box 27, Newfane VT, 05345 with Sargent family in the memo.

Losing your grandson so soon is a huge heartache. You're close in our thought's Pat and Sonny, also the rest of Johnathan's family. May you let his daughter know just how great he was. Our prayers for all of you as you on with life without him.
