1984-2013 WILMINGTON Jonathan R. Hughes, 28, formerly of Wilmington died unexpectedly January 15, 2013 from injuries sustained in a pedestrian-motor vehicle accident in Worcester, Mass.

The son of Barbara (Schaub) Hughes and the late James Richard Hughes, Jon was born in Greenfield, Mass., on December 13, 1984. He grew up with his family in Wilmington, graduating from Wilmington High School in 2003. He continued his education attending Mass State Community Colleges.

He had briefly been a theatre manager in West Dover and Brattleboro and for the past several years he was the Tour Manager for the band Madball. He traveled extensively with the band throughout Canada, Europe, Japan and the US, visiting 48 states. He was passionate about music and especially loved hard core music. He was proud of his tattoos, loved spending time in the outdoors, hiking, and carpentry which he learned from his father, Rick. Jon was devoted to his family, his dog Tank and his numerous friends throughout the Northeast, whom he considered family. His motto was "family first".

Jon leaves his mother Barbara Hughes, sister Jennifer, her husband Johnathan Phillips, and his niece Lydia whom he adored. His family now resides in Essex Junction. He also leaves his godmother Margo Ciurlino of Arizona, aunts, uncles, cousins and his loving friends he cared so deeply about.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Friends are invited to share memories and photos of Jon at a celebration of his life on Monday January 21 from noon until 3 p.m. at The Old Red Mill Inn in Wilmington.
