Nancy L. Mayhew

1933 - 2014 BRATTLEBORO Nancy L. Mayhew, 80, of Lexington Avenue, died peacefully in the comfort of her home Saturday evening, April 12, 2014, surrounded by her family, following an extended illness. Nancy was born in South Athol, Mass. on Sep. 30, 1933, the daughter of Harold and Alice Seeley Taylor. A resident of Brattleboro for the past 50 years, she was a former resident of Erving, Mass., where she was raised and educated. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church. She was a devoted homemaker who loved spending time with her family, who she adored. Included are her beloved pet dogs. Survivors include three sons, John Taylor of Marshfield, Vt., Mark Mayhew of Brattleboro, and Eric Mayhew of Vernon; five grandchildren, Cody, Hunter, Maddison, Ethan, and Taylor, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. James Dodson, pastor, celebrant. Committal Rites and burial will follow in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Atamaniuk Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the Mass.
