William R. Cobb

1936 - 2013 JAMAICA William R. Cobb (Bill) died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 18, surrounded by his family at Grace Cottage Hospital. A longtime resident of Jamaica, he was born in Hartford, Conn., on Oct. 22, 1936, the son of Ernest S. and Bertha (Akley) Cobb. Bill served in the Army National Guard for six years and on active duty for six months. He was an active member of Mt Lebanon Lodge #46 for many years and also a member of the Jamaica Community Church. He was a retired master carpenter and, in his spare time, enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and riding his ATV with his wife, family, and friends on VASA trails in Vermont and also in New Hampshire. Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanne (Coleman), marrying her on Aug. 9, 1958; two sons, Kendall and Dennis, both of Jamaica; one daughter, Debra, and son-in-law, Lloyd Church, of West Townshend, three grandchildren, Jessica, Robert and Dennis Jr., and one great-granddaughter, Raelynn. He also leaves two brothers, Ellsworth of Enfield, Conn., and Ernest L. of Cape Cod, Mass., and several extended family members and a host of friends. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Jamaica. Date to be announced. Memorial contributions in William R.
