ANNE K. SCIPIONE

1940 -2016 BRATTLEBORO, VT Anne Kathleen Scipione, 75 of Western Avenue, a former longtime resident of Centerville, Mass died Monday morning, April 4, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Mrs. Scipione was born in Somerville, Mass on July 7, 1940 the daughter of Edmund and Anna (Halloran) Mahoney. She was raised and educated in Somerville and was a graduate of Saint Joseph's High School, Class of 1958 where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. With her husband she help establish Northeast Tariff Corp. based in Centerville which they operated from 1981 until 1997. Previously she had been employed as a secretary for John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston. She was a faithful and devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother whose life centered around her family. A devout Catholic, she was a communicant of Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro and a former parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Centerville. Of her pastimes and interests, she enjoyed reading, loved animals and cherished time spent with her family. On August 13, 1961 at Saint Catherine's Church in Somerville she was married to Kenneth Scipione who survives. Besides her husband of 54 years, she is survived by two sons, Edmund of Brattleboro and Kenneth of Sandown, NH, three grandchildren, Emily, Jack and Michael, and a dear close friend, Patricia Keane of Medford, Mass. FUNERAL SERVICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. Fred McLachlan, SSE, Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Putney celebrant. Committal Rites and burial will follow in Saint Michael's Parish Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Atamaniuk Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the start of the Mass.
