Barbara A. Bousquet Obituary
Putney - Barbara Ann Bousquet, 77, of Putney, Vermont passed away peacefully on October 9, 2016.

Barbara was born in Springfield, Massachusetts to Ralph and Marion Conrad on April 6, 1939. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield, Massachusetts. Barb married Robert Bousquet on September 29, 1958, moving to Palmer, MA and raised their 3 children. Always a lover of a more rural life, she and Bob enjoyed building a camp in Putney, Vermont - later to move to the same town and live there for many years. Although she and Bob divorced in 1989, they remained friends for the remainder of their lives.

Barbara worked as a Town Lister in Putney, was an officer in the Now & Then Vehicle Club, the proprietor of an antique store in Keene, New Hampshire as well as a home T-Shirt business, Hatsntees. Barbara was a talented and creative person, and throughout her life helped create numerous publications for the various groups she was involved in. She also enjoyed painting, sewing, and crafting.

Barb was a great lover of animals and always had a pet by her side.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Cindy Bousquet, who passed away in May of 2013, as well as her ex-husband and friend, Bob Bousquet, who died in December of 2015.

Barbara is survived by a daughter, Laurie Blair and her husband, Leo, of West Chesterfield, NH and a son, Curt Bousquet and wife, Betsy, of Putney. She also leaves behind two grandchildren: Ross Blair and Erin Blair. Barbara is also survived by her longtime companion, Gus Williams of Swanzey, New Hampshire.

SERVICES: Per her wishes, there will not be a funeral service, however donations can be made in her memory to the Windham County Humane Society, (PO Box 397 Brattleboro, VT 05302) or to the Vernon Green Nursing Home activities fund (61 Greenway Drive Vernon, VT 05354).

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at Vernon Green, for the gentle and loving care she received during the last years of her life.
