Rutland - Bradley Edward Wright, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2018 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Wright was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on September 28, 1950 to Leo and Annabel Wright. He was raised in Brattleboro, Vermont.

In Brattleboro, Bradley could have been known as the "Mayor" of Brattleboro, being many people knew him by name and he could be seen around town on daily walks or at one of the clubs either volunteering or working (American Legion, Eagles, VFW, Elks club).

Bradley enjoyed working and being around people. He spent free time at the American Legion, where he enjoyed the people and the food and work part time, before he retired. He participated in parades marching with the American Legion. Bradley loved joking around and was a happy, friendly person. He loved animals movies, sports, football, baseball - especially the Boston Red Sox, and was a dedicated follower of the WWW wrestling. Bradley attended school at Frances Hicks School in Brattleboro. He graduated in 1964 and began working.

Bradley lived independently and worked many places around Brattleboro. One of his first jobs was at the Brattleboro Retreat from 1972 through 1998 as a dishwasher and in the laundry service department. He worked at Quebecor Printing Book Press as a custodian and service worker, the Brattleboro Reformer as a paper stacker, Hannaford's store, and the American Legion, working in the kitchen as a dishwasher and custodial duties. He also worked at many restaurants in Brattleboro: Peter Havens, Walkers, Fuzzy's Seafoods.

Bradley retired in 2009 after a brief illness and moved to Rutland, Vermont to be near his sisters. He lived in a group home and in 2017 moved to the Pines of Rutland Nursing Home.

Mr. Wright was predeceased by his parents Leo Edward Wright and Annabelle Rose (Healy) Wright, and his brothers: Daniel, Alan, James, and his sister Gayle Morehouse. Survivors are his sisters: Marina Potter and husband Bert of Shrewsbury ,VT; Theresa Spaulding of Burlington, VT and Rita Rose Merles and her husband Peter of Baltimore MD and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Burlington, VT area.

At a later date, a mass will be said at St. Michael Catholic Church in Brattleboro, Vermont followed by burial at St. Michael's Cemetery.

A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion Post #5 in Brattleboro following the ceremony.
