1946 - 2015 HINSDALE, N.H. Catherine Marie Sprague, 69, of Brattleboro Road died Monday afternoon, July 27, 2015 in the comfort of her home following a courageous battle with MS and cancer. Cathy was born in Brattleboro on February 4, 1946 the daughter of Hyacinth and Louise (Bittner) Renaud. She was raised and educated in Brattleboro attending St. Michael's Parochial School and was a graduate of St. Michael's High School, Class of 1964. She went on to graduate from the former Thompson School for Practical Nursing where she received her LPN. She was a former co-owner of Costume Ladies and was known for her memorable Victorian Tea parties. Cathy was also known for her passion of quilting and was a member of the Cheshire Quilters Guild. She enjoyed giving sewing lessons, donating her quilts and spending time with her family and friends. Steadfast in her walk of faith she had a strong and positive outlook on life. She was a communicant of both St. Michael's Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Parish in Hinsdale. On August 27, 1966 at St. Michael's Catholic Church she was married to Dwight B. Sprague who survives. Besides her faithful and devoted husband of almost 49 years, she leaves her two children, son, Andy Sprague and daughter-in-law, Janine Gallagher, daughter, Ramona Sprague and son-in-law, John Lewis, her mother, Louise Renaud of Brattleboro, four brothers, Jerry, David, Michael and Fran Renaud, nine sisters, Martha Seagar, Mary Jane Giroux, Cindy Renaud-Kim, Margaret Moulton, Caroline Houle, Judy Clark, Pauline Wilson, Nancy Renaud and Claire Renaud-Svenconis, a very dear friend, and sister-in-law, Cindy Renaud and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Ruthie Felski and Helen Hassey. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 1st, 2015 at 11a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Brattleboro with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall at St. Joseph's Church in Hinsdale.
