Charles "Chuck" Frost

1944 - 2015 BRATTLEBORO Charles James, "Chuck" Frost, 70 a longtime resident of Putney and more recently of Birge Street died Sunday morning, Feb. 15, 2015 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mr. Frost was born in Brattleboro on Apr. 25, 1944 the son of Charles Henry and Wyona (Ellis) Frost. He was raised and educated in Putney and was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, Class of 1962. A veteran of the Vietnam War he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge from active service. He had been employed for many years at Two Masters Gulf Service Station in Putney. Previously he had worked in the maintenance department at BUHS and at Kurn Hattin Homes. In conjunction with quality time shared with his family, he also enjoyed meeting his friends at the Putney General Store for coffee, and more recently, at the Dunkin Donuts in the Walmart in Hinsdale. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was the husband of Suzanne Colvin who survives. Although the marriage ended in divorce, the two remained good friends. Survivors include their daughter, Lorelei Morrissette and her husband, Derrick of Brattleboro; one brother, Ronald Frost and his wife, Lynda of Springfield, VT; one sister, Judith Fuller and her husband, Ronald of East Swanzey, NH; two grandsons, Xavier and Dakota; two step-grandchildren, Lori and Adam, six step-great-grandchildren and three nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Kevin Frost. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside committal services with full military honors in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Putney will be conducted in the springtime when the cemetery reopens at a date and time to be announced by the funeral home. Friends are invited to call at the Atamaniuk Funeral Home on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions in Mr. Frost's name may be made to The Putney Vol. Fire Dept., P.O.
