David L. Williams Obituary
East Dummerston- David Laning Williams of Park Laughton Road passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, October 28, 2016 at the Thompson House, he was 102 years old. Mr. Williams was born in Rochester, New York on March 3, 1914 the son of Henry Clinton and Alice (Easling) Williams. He was raised and educated in Rochester and was a graduate of the University of Rochester College of Arts and Science with a Bachelor of Science degree in optics. He was employed as an optical engineer at General Electric Company in Schenectady, New York and later at Westinghouse Corp in New Jersey and Perkin-Elmer in Wilton, Connecticut. Mr. Williams was a member of Saint John's Episcopal Church in Walpole, New Hampshire and a former member of Immanuel Episcopal Church in Bellows Falls where he served on the church vestrys. On September 7, 1976 at Saint George's Episcopal Church in Schenectady he was married to Elizabeth Marie K?lber who survives. Besides his faithful and loving wife of 40 years he leaves two nephews and a great niece. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Saint John's Episcopal Church in Walpole with the Rev. Susan de Puy Kershaw, rector and Rev. Bruce L. MacDuffie officiating. There are no calling hours. Private burial will take place in Trumansburg, New York at a later date. Memorial contributions in Mr. Williams name may be made to the Thompson House Nursing Home Activities Fund, 80 Maple Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301 or to Saint John's Episcopal Church, P.O.
