Denise C. Kempf Obituary
Denise C. (O'Connor) Kempf, 60 of Putney, VT passed away on January 19, 2018 at Alice Peck Day Hospital, Lebanon, NH after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 4, 1957 in Brattleboro, VT to the parents of Edna Rose (Gratton) O'Connor and Michael J O'Connor,Sr. The family moved to Dalton, MA in 1962. She graduated from Wahconah Regional High School in 1975. She moved to Hinsdale, NH after high school.
She was employed at Putney Family Healthcare for many years. In previous years she had been employed with Avanced Foot and Ankle Specialist, Keene Sentinel, Brattleboro Reformer, and the Brattleboro Bookpress.
Denise was a vibrant outgoing individual who loved spending time with family and friends. She was always up for traveling and trying new things with loved ones. In the summer months you could find her soaking up the sun at the local beach or vacationing with family on the coast of southern Maine, her favorite place to be. In cooler weather she spent her time crocheting and baking. Sharing her creations with those around her was one of her greatest joys.
She is survived by her son Jesse Kempf of Keene, NH, her daughter Kimberly Kempf of West Chesterfield, NH. Her siblings, Michael O'Connor, Jr and Sharon O'Connor of Keene, NH, Debra Vosburgh of Sheffield, MA, and Colleen and Ron White of Pittsfield, MA. Her grandchildren Hunter Kempf and Kinsley Tyler. Her former husband Alfred Kempf of West Chesterfield,NH. Her nieces and nephews Christopher O'Connor, Patrick & Molly O'Connor, Curtis Vosburgh, Kendra Vosburgh, Connor Vosburgh, Michelle White, and Mark White. Her grand nephew Ryley O'Connor. Her father Michael O'Connor,Sr of Pace, FL. She is predeceased by her mother Edna R O'Connor (Gratton).
A Celebration of her life will be held on February 18, 2018 at 3pm at the American Legion, 32 Linden St, Brattleboro, VT 05301
