1931 - 2015 JAMAICA Henry Kinsley "Skip" Eaton, 84, of Eaton Road, passed away at his home on Thursday afternoon, November 5, 2015. Mr. Eaton was born in Rochester, VT on January 23, 1931 the son of David and Amy (Kinsley) Eaton. He was raised and educated in Hancock, VT. On October 23, 1948 he was married to Lorena Sherman who predeceased him. He and his wife spent 42 years together in Jamaica. For 50 years Mr. Eaton worked for Cersosimo Lumber Company wearing many hats from trucking and sawyer to operating a bulldozer while building roads for the company. Mr. Eaton was a member of Rural Mason Lodge #29 of Rochester, VT. He and his wife, Lorena, were avid snowmobilers and had been riding since 1972. They enjoyed spending time in Montana and Maine and snowmobiled all over the state of Vermont. In the summer they enjoyed camping and traveling all over the United States. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who called him Grandpa Nuts, Grandpa Eats and many other nicknames. One of his famous sayings was "See you in church". Mr. Eaton was survived by four daughters: Vicki Brown of De Kalb Junction, N.Y., Sophia Sanderson and husband Bob of Jamaica, VT., Penny Harrington and husband Dennis of Newfane, VT and Tonilyn Fletcher of Norton, VT; one son-in-law, David Chaves of Londonderry, VT; one sister, Jean Brown; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Patrice Chaves; his brother, Carl Eaton; and his sister, Judy Bean. SERVICES: A celebration of his life will be held at his home at 210 Eaton Road, Jamaica, VT on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Cottage Hospital in care of Robert Backus, M.D., P.O.
