1933 - 2016 DUMMERSTON, VT Janet Sexton Avery passed away February 26, 2016, at her home. Janet was born January 22, 1933, in Jersey City, NJ, to Ruth Davis Sexton and Robert Mitchum Sexton. Janet was raised in Riveredge, NJ, and married Arthur E. Avery on February 20, 1954. Janet was active in the Dummerston Congregational Church, where she served on various committees and as Deacon. She was alsoa library trustee to the Lydia Taft Pratt Library,West Dummerston. Janet is survived by one brother, (Robert Sexton, and his wife, Anne-Lise, of Chelmsford, MA), three children, (Sharon Avery Sinclair of Kalispell, Mont.; Doug Avery of Athens, VT; and Kent Avery, and his wife, Lynn, of Denver, CO) and four grandchildren, (Ambar Avery, Rob Avery, Shanali Avery, and Gladys Avery). Her husband, Art passed away in 2009. SERVICES: In keeping with Janet's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or memorial service. A private committal service is planned. Donations in her memory can be made tothe Lydia Taft Library orthe Dummerston Congregational Church.
