1931-2016 BRATTLEBORO Jeanne L. Anderson, 84 of Chestnut Street, a lifelong resident of town died Friday afternoon, February 5, 2016 at the Thompson House on Maple Street following a period of declining health. Her loving husband was at her side when she passed away. Jeanne was born in Brattleboro on March 29, 1931 the daughter of Thomas M. and Mildred (Grover) Lynch. She attended Saint Michael's Parochial School and was a graduate of Saint Michael's High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of the high school band as a majorette and in 1947 the band won the state title and was selected to march in New York City. Jeanne had been employed as supervisor of registry at the Holstein-Friesian Association where she retired from following 27 dedicated years with the Association. Of her leisure time activities, she enjoyed putting on holiday meals for her family of which her life centered around. She also enjoyed genealogy, gardening and time spent with her family. She was a communicant of Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church and held membership in the American Legion, Brattleboro Post #5 Auxiliary. On May 8, 1951 at Shepard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas she was married to Roland Anderson who survives. Besides her husband of 64 years, she leaves one daughter, Donna Gouin and her husband, John of Florida, one son, Thomas "Tom" Anderson and his wife, Laura of CT, four grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Beverly Lynch of Brattleboro and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Lynch. FUNERAL NOTICE: Graveside services will take place at a future date.
