Jeffrey Wilson Obituary
Jeffrey Menard Wilson

1962 - 2016 Jeffrey Menard Wilson passed away on Friday, May 6 surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Jeffrey was born on August 28, 1962 in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, the son of Sandra and Bernie Wilson, who predeceased him. Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Heather Lord Wilson. Jeffrey leaves behind his two children who were the true loves of his life, his daughter Peyton and his son Trevor. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Nancy and Pete Lord, aunt, Kay Long, and uncle, Bob Joy, his brothers Michael Joy and Patrick Joy and sister-in-law Jennifer and their children Cameron and Madison, his sister Kerry Bennett and her husband George, son Brian and his wife Kenia, his sister Barb Joy, his sisters-in-law Heidi Lord and her partner Chris, and Danielle Nichols and husband Scott, and their daughters Jordan, Meghan and son Bryce, brother-in-law Dave and his partner Tia, and numerous cousins and friends. Jeff graduated from Bellows Falls Union High School in 1980 and attended Daniel Webster College in New Hampshire. After college Jeff served his country in the United States Air Force. Jeff worked at Newsbank in Chester for over 20 years and considered his co-workers not only friends but his second family. Over the past 5 years Jeff became an avid gardener and took tremendous pride in his green thumb. Jeff was most noted for his active involvement in the youth of the community. He coached in the Bellows Falls Junior League for 15 years, he coached Rockingham Rec basketball, he coached Freshman Basketball at Bellows Falls Union High, and Youth Soccer for many years. He also served on the Rockingham Recreation Committee and was instrumental in the successful completion of the new Rec Center. Jeff believed that sports were a way of connecting with the area youth and he was far more than a volunteer coach, but was a role model to so many kids and families. Most important in Jeffrey's life was his genuine love, devotion and commitment to his family. Though he is missed more than words, their lives are forever better for having known and loved him.
