Kenneth Jones

BELLOWS FALLS Kenneth Jones, 51, of Granger Street, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Fletcher Allen Hospital, Burlington, VT. Kenneth was born in Camden, SC to Lewis Jones Sr. and Simmlean Jones. Kenneth was educated in the local schools of Lugoff, SC. After graduating from Lugoff Elgin High School he was employed at Richtex Brickyard, Diamant Boart of America, and Shoney's of SC. In 2001 he relocated to Bellows Falls, VT where he was employed at Melsur and Heath Care and Rehabilitation Services. He was recently employed at Whitney Blake Company until his health failed and retired on January 11, 2014. Kenneth was a skilled cook. His family called him their chef. He tried many recipes and changed them into delicious gourmet meals. He had no formal training. It was just his special gift from God. He was loved by all who knew him. He developed a special bond with all his nieces and nephews. They loved him dearly and will truly miss him. He always cheered the family with his charm and jokes. Throughout his life he has been an inspiration to all of us. Kenneth is survived by his mother, Simmlean Jones of Bellows Falls, VT; nine sisters and one brother. Vernon, NY; Gladys (Woodrow Jr.) Atkinson of Brooklyn, NY; Florie (Larry) Richardson of Lugoff, SC; Louana (Richard) Shepard of Elgin, SC; Carrie Jones Ivey and Lewis Jones Jr. of Bellows Falls, VT. FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a memorial service Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at 4:00 pm at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home, Bellows Falls, VT. There will be a memorial service in Camden, SC at a later date to be announced.
