Vernon - Leonard H. "Lenny" Peduzzi, 84 of Silver Lane passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Saturday, February 4, 2017 following an extended illness.

Len was born in Barre, Vermont on March 27, 1932, the son of Americo and Louisa (DeBin) Peduzzi. He was raised and educated in Plainfield, Vermont and was a graduate of Plainfield High School Class of 1951. He attended Lyndon State College in Lyndonville.

Len proudly served his country in the U S Army during the Korean War, stationed stateside at Camp Hale, Colorado until his honorable discharge from active service.

Most of his career Len work as a heavy equipment operator retiring at the age of 79. His last employment was with Warner Brothers Construction of Sunderland, Massachusetts. Previous employers were Rossi, Perini, Cersosimo and good friend Stub Thomas. From 1971 - 1977 in Brattleboro Len owned and operated popular Mama Peduzzis. He had a special bond with his employees and many customers.

A resident of Vernon since 1969 he was active civically serving on the Planning Board and as a member of the Select Board.

Len was outgoing and had a fabulous sense of humor and sharp wit which he enjoyed sharing with friends and family. He loved visiting factories and historical sites. He was known for being a hard worker always willing to help anyone in need.

On October 12, 1968 at Waitsfield, Vermont Federated Church he was married to Janet Eurich who survives.

Besides his faithful wife of 48 years he leaves one son, Enrico Peduzzi (Tracy Marino) and two daughters, Jennifer Peduzzi of Vernon and Stephanie Peduzzi-Baker (James) of Brattleboro. `Poppy' will also be missed by his five grandsons, Ian and Morgan Baker, Nicholas and Philip Peduzzi, and Trevor Peduzzi; one granddaughter, Sophia Peduzzi-Nelson and one great granddaughter, Olivia Peduzzi. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a grandson, Jordan Peduzzi, a granddaughter Alyssa Peduzzi and three brothers, Warner, Norman and Marvin, who died in infancy.

SERVICES: A memorial service in celebration of his life will be conducted Sunday, February 19th at 2:00 at Vernon Advent Christian Church with Pastor Bruce Burks Officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Len Peduzzi Scholarship Fund, in care of the Vernon recreation Department, Vernon, VT 05354.
