Matthew G. Brownell

1966 - 2012 WEST CHESTERFIELD, NH Matthew Glen Brownell, of West Chesterfield, NH,, passed away suddenly on Sept. 26, 2012.

He was born January 1, 1966, son of Franklin Brownell Sr. and Nina Brownell.

He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Pennie Bronson, of 15 years; his three children, Brian of Bellows Falls, Zachary of Westminster and Whitney of Westminster; his father, Franklin

Brownell Sr., and his wife Pamela, of Michigan; his mother, Nina Brownell, of New York; his siblings, Franklin Jr., and wife Deb, of New York; BreezeAnn, of South Carolina; David and his wife Tina, of New York; Vickie and Rusty Coon, of Vermont; Daniel and his wife Gina, of Michigan; Michael, of New York; and Jonathan and his wife Shannon, of Vermont; stepbrother Jason and his wife Marcy Smith, of Vermont; and stepsister Randi Copeland of Michigan; many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Juliette Bronson; and goddaughter Tabitha Loomis.

He touched many lives personally and professionally. He owned and operated Stop & Go Instant Oil Change. He donated to many local charities; among the proudest, Ride for Heroes, of The Brattleboro Retreat, which helped veterans and service personnel and their families; Project Feed the Thousands; Empty Bowls; and the Monadnock Speedway; among many others.

He was a member of the Eagles and the Elks.

His main passion as of late was riding his Harley with his wife and friends around New England and New York and looking forward to his first grandchild.

He will never be forgotten.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Eagles on Chickering Drive in Brattleboro on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 1 p.m.
