1943 - 2015 GRAFTON Michael Eli Wilson, 71 of Eastman Road died Friday morning, Feb. 13, 2015 at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene following a brief illness. Mr. Wilson was born in Springfield, VT on Oct. 11, 1943 the son of Clarence and Helen (Stompor) Wilson. He was raised and educated in Brattleboro and was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, Class of 1963. Following high school he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, stationed in Vietnam during the conflict. Mr. Wilson had been employed as a shipping clerk for G.S. Precision from 1983 until his retirement in 2012. Previously he had worked at the former BookPress in Brattleboro. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #67 in Chester. Of his leisure time activities, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and puttering around his home always having a remodeling project on the docket. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife. The couple visited many destinations both in the US and abroad. He was known for his spirit of kindness and generosity always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. On Feb. 14, 1985 in Brattleboro he was married to Loreene Smith who survives. Besides his faithful and devoted wife of 30 years, he leaves his mother of Brattleboro, four sons, Benjamin Wilson of Penacock, NH, Michael Wilson of Brattleboro, Christopher Stone of Charlestown, NH and Randy Stone of Peru, VT, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Additionally he leaves his beloved pet dog Sarge and cat Honey Brown. He was predeceased by a sister, Carlie Patch who died in February of 2007. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be private with interment in the family lot in Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery.
