1920 - 2016 BRATTLEBORO Mildred Helen, "Millie" Grover, 95, of Hunt Avenue passed away peacefully late Monday night, May 30, 2016, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family following a period of declining health. Mrs. Grover was born in Easthampton, Mass on October 25, 1920 the daughter of Edward and Helen (LaFountain) LaFlam. She was raised and educated in Brattleboro attending Brattleboro public school including Brattleboro High School. She had been employed for 22 years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates in Ft. Dummer and later worked at the former H. Margolin Pocketbook Shop, BookPress and Estey Organ Company. Mrs. Grover was a lifelong communicant of Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and NASCAR fan but she especially enjoyed time shared with her family. She also took great pride in her home which was kept neat as a pin. On December 8, 1938 at the House of Flowers on Main Street in Brattleboro she was married to Clayton W. "Bud" Grover. Her devoted husband of 68 years predeceased her on January 31, 2007. Survivors include one daughter, Jeanne Marie Boroski and her husband Chester of Richfield, NC; one son, Clayton "Bob" Grover, Jr. and his wife Judy of Brattleboro; one brother, Edmund "Bonham" LaFlam of Brattleboro; five grandchildren, Timothy Grover of Brattleboro and Chester, Stephen, and David Boroski and Brenda Lee Aplin, all of Richfield, NC. Additionally she leaves several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Norman, Charles and Ernest LaFlam, two sisters, Marion Noga and Theresa LaFlam, and a half brother, Raymond LaFlam. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 9:00 A.M. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church with Fr. James Dodson, pastor, celebrant. Committal Rites and burial will follow in the Grover family lot in Saint Michael's Parish Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Grover's name may be made to Brattleboro Area Hospice, 191 Canal Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301 or to the Guilford Volunteer Fire Department 108 Guilford Center Road, Guilford, VT 05301.
