Phyllis L. Coleman 1926 - 2011 JAMAICA Phyllis Louise Welker Coleman, 84, of Jamaica, passed away on July 20, 2011. She was born July 29, 1926, to Phillip and Alma Breault Welker in New Haven, Conn. She moved to Vermont with her family when she was a teen. She worked for a period of time as an operator for the local telephone company. She married Roy Coleman of Rawsonville, Vt., and was the bookkeeper for the family business. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Young; daughter-in-law, Samantha Wilson of Newfane; sons, Halbert Coleman and his wife, Gail, and Kelly Coleman, all of Jamaica; seven grandchildren, Rory Young of Seattle, Wash., Justin Coleman of Newfane, Cameron Coleman, Heather Clish, of Jamaica, Candace Coleman, Deborah Parker of Londonderry, and Jennifer Perry of Palm Coast, Fla.; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephew, and two brothers, Phillip Welker and his wife, Barbara, of Guilford, and Robert Welker of Sunrise, Fla. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy; by her sons, Christopher Coleman and Phillip Coleman, and by a son-in-law, Robert Young. Phyllis obtained her pilot's license and enjoyed flying her Cessna plane. She loved her dalmations, her fish, her pond and going to concerts at Saratoga Performing Arts Center with her family. FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Rawsonville Cemetery in Rawsonville, at a time to be announced.
