Richard T. Rochford

1951 - 2016 BRATTLEBORO, VT Richard T. Rochford, 64, a native of Springfield and longtime resident of Brattleboro, passed away on Sunday, January 31, at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Born in Springfield, MA on May 15, 1951, Richard was the son of the late Robert Rochford and Joyce (Feeley) Dragon. He grew up in Springfield, graduating from Holy Name Grammar School and Cathedral High School, both in Springfield, received his Bachelors Degree from UMass-Amherst and later attended WNEC in pursuit of his Masters in Business Administration. Richard worked for the Holstein Association in Brattleboro, VT for more than 20 years before retiring in 2009. He was an avid Yankees fan and enjoyed lively discussions in anything dealing with politics, history and sports. Richard is survived by his daughters, Sara Lynn Rochford of Hinsdale, NH and Danielle Marie Rochford of Burlington , VT, his son, Patrick Rochford of Boulder, CO and his step-father, Henry M. Dragon. He also leaves his siblings, Robert E. Rochford, Gail Goodenow and her husband, John, all of West Springfield, Timothy M. Rochford and his wife, Sevgi of Catonsville, MD, Peter J. Rochford and his wife, Leah of Enfield, CT, Christopher M. Dragon and his wife, Tamara of Wilbraham, MA, David E. Dragon and his wife, Carol of Springfield, MA, Susan M. Dragon and her husband, Frank Zakrzewski of Enfield, CT and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was pre-deceased by his mother, Joyce A. Dragon in 2014. The family would like to convey a special thank you to the staff at Pine Heights Nursing Home in Brattleboro for the excellent care Richard received during his time of need and to his former employer and fellow employees at the Holstein Association, especially the CEO, John Meyer and the Human Resource Director, Margaret Bober for their continued support throught his illness. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA from 3:30 until 6 p.m. with the Funeral Prayers being offered at 5:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that Memorial Contributions be made to , Donation Processing, P.O.
