Robert P. Wysocki

SHREWSBURY- Robert P. Wysocki, 80 died on Friday September 16, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Wysocki was born and raised in Shrewsbury, son of the late Walter and Mary (Slatkiewicz) Wysocki. Robert graduated from the former Major. Howard Beal High School in Shrewsbury, MA. During his high school years he earned his private pilot's license, which he maintained most of his life. Robert received his aircraft maintenance certification from Boston University and served 6 years in the Massachusetts National Guard. After college, Robert worked for Trans World Airlines, where he remained until his retirement in 1994. It was during this time working in New York that he met his future wife, Judith, whom he married in 1961. On June 24 th 2016 they celebrated 55 years of marriage. Robert was a lifelong hunter and gardener, his family and friends enjoyed many of the results of his efforts in these areas, especially his homemade relish. He also enjoyed traveling, visiting various states and countries with his family. Prior to his retirement he purchased a home in Florida where he could enjoy the warm winters. Not one to remain idle, he also purchased land in Vermont and proceeded to build a log home. While in Vermont he seized the opportunity to visit family in Shrewsbury, MA. As time passed, it became more difficult to travel, so both homes were sold and Robert and Judith moved to Central Florida, to be near their daughter, where they remained until his death. He leaves his wife, Judith; a son, Robert P. Wysocki Jr., and his wife Candace; a daughter Melinda K. Leach and her husband Brian; grandchildren, Robert P. Wysocki III, Joseph R. Wysocki, Alexis D. Wysocki, Jordyn G. Wysocki, Christina Haas, Kevin P. Carey Jr., Justin R. Leach, Ashley E. Leach, Amber Adams, and Faith Rios; two sisters Geneva Putelis and Eleanor M. Wall. Also survived by eleven nieces, nephews, and their families. Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Olga Halpin, a brother, Edward Wysocki, and a granddaughter, Victoria Wysocki. FUNERAL NOTICE: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Robert's funeral on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Saint Anne's Church 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. A luncheon will be in the Father Smith Center at Saint Anne's Parish following the interment at Mountain View.
