1925 - 2015 SKOWHEGAN, ME / BELLOWS FALLS, VT: Virginia C. Mosher died Sunday, October 11. Two of her children as well as two of her grandchildren were privileged to be with her as she embarked on her great journey. Born in Pittsfield, MA on December 22, 1925, she was the daughter of Harper and Irene (Adams) Whitcomb. Virginia moved to Bellows Falls in 1938. She graduated from Bellows Falls High School in 1944. On April 27, 1946 Virginia married Kenneth Mosher of Brattleboro at St. Charles Church in Bellows Falls. They settled in Brattleboro staying until 1954. They moved to Bellows Falls when Ken became employed at New England Power. Virginia was a homemaker for the majority of her life. Caring for her family was her priority and joy. She was a woman of many talents: an extremely talented/ meticulous seamstress and gifted with a beautiful singing voice. All of her children remember her singing constantly as she worked in the house. Over the decades she sang at weddings, funerals and special occasions. Virginia enjoyed the annual family vacations at Lake Champlain's Mallet's Bay. Each day was filled with family oriented activities. After Ken retired, they spent time traveling to NC, Texas and to the homes of their children. Virginia was predeceased by her parents, husband, Ken (January 2001) and several siblings. She is survived by her four children: Scott Mosher (Mary), Gail Bailey, Gary Mosher (Kelly) and Jill Dorsey. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and her brother, Arnold Adams (Rita). FUNERAL NOTICE: On November 7th there will be an 11a.m. Funeral Mass at Notre Dame de Lourdes in Skowhegan, ME. Burial will take place at a later date.
