Wayne C. Mellish Obituary
North Walpole, NH. - Wayne C. Mellish, 76, of Maple Street died Monday, May 1, 2017. He passed peacefully after a period of declining health, his family with him. Wayne was was born in Bellows Falls, VT on August 20, 1940, the son of Park and Priscilla (Fletcher) Mellish. He was a 1959 Graduate of Bellows Falls High School. After a series of jobs that included cab driver and working on the construction on Interstate 91 in Vermont he began working for Panametrics, Inc. in Waltham, MA in 1963. The company was bought out by General Electric in 2002 and he remained working there until he retired in January of 2016. In addition to his 53 year career at Panametrics GE, Wayne was also an avid mushroom hunter, a dog lover, a glass blower, and he enjoyed carving ducks and other water birds out of wood. These beautiful creations can be in found in the homes of friends and family all over the Northeast.

In May of 1965 he married Helen Gallagher, who passed away in 1997, at St. Peter's Church in North Walpole. He is survived by his three sons, Craig Mellish of North Walpole, Sean Mellish of Unity, NH and Terry Mellish of North Walpole; his brother Lynn Mellish of Bellows Falls; his sisters, Debra Monahan of Bellows Falls and Renea Mellish of Rutherford Glen, Virginia; his grandchildren Paige, Park, and Hannah Mellish and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife he is predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Sandra Adams and Susan Haskell.

SERVICES: There will be calling hours 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10th at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls, VT. The funeral service will be private at the convenience of the family.
