Verne E. Moberly

1937-2014 Verne E. Moberly, 76, of W. Townshend, VT passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, VT. He was born in Worcester, MA on April 10, 1937, the son of the late Ernest and Lilly (Dutton) Moberly. Verne was educated in the Worchester school system, graduating from Classical High School. He then went on to attend McLean School of Nursing becoming a Registered Nurse and later Cambridge College earning his Master's degree in education. He was employed as a nurse at MacLean Hospital and later at the Brattleboro Retreat until his retirement in 2000. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Verne had a love for anything mechanical including antique cars and automobiles. He was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his dogs and family. He is predeceased by two brothers, Maris and Ralph Moberly. He is survived by his wife, Mary Moberly of W. Townshend, VT; two daughters, Beth Radwanski and her husband Brian of MD and Karen Adkins and her husband Charles of VA; a brother, Kenneth Moberly and his husband Michael Cooney of S. Wardsboro, VT; and four grandchildren, Ellen, Coleman, Eli, and Karrie. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be held at a later date.
