Jamie Morton Obituary
Jamie Morton

1979 - 2014 BRATTLEBORO Jamie R. Morton, 34, died unexpectedly on Aug. 8, 2014 at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. She was born the daughter of Michael and Pamela Morton on Sept. 23, 1979. Jamie worked as a personal care attendant for many years, as well as employment with Linden Gardens, The Edge Company, Brattleboro Co-op, Wendy's, and many years working side by side with her dad in the family business. The most important part of Jamie's life was her family. Her three sons were her world. Her sister, Michelle, looked up to her and with an unending love and will always miss her. Her son, Logan, appreciated her as a great mom, loved that she kept her home clean, always enjoyed cooking, putting her family first, and was always willing to help others in need. She enjoyed crocheting, canning, cooking, cake decorating, hunting, shooting, and working with her dad. She will be remembered for her overwhelming generosity, her gift of friendship to many, and her love for her family. She is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Geraldine Morton; and her maternal grandfather, William Cooke. Jamie is survived by her children, Logan Morton (14), Joseph Gleason (11), and Landon Gleason (10); maternal grandmother, Barbara Cook; her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Michelle (Morton) and Dan Kuert, as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Brattleboro Church of Christ. A reception will follow at the home of Mike and Pam Morton in Brattleboro.
