Patricia C. Seaton 1922-2010 BRATTLEBORO - Patricia Catherine "Pat" Seaton, 88, a former resident of Holton Home, died peacefully Sunday afternoon, October 24, 2010, surrounded by her family at Thompson House Nursing Home where she had been a resident for the past three years. Mrs. Seaton was born in Queens Village, N.Y. on April 21, 1922, the daughter of Leonard Conrad and Rose Isabel (Lisk) Euler. She was raised and educated in Queens Village where she attended St. Joachim & Ann Catholic School and Our Lady of Wisdom Academy High School. She went on to attend St. Joseph's College and received her Masters in Childhood Education from Columbia University. From 1972 to 1992, she worked in the tax assessment office for the town of Onondaga, NY. Previously she worked for many years as a substitute teacher in the Marcellus, N.Y. school district. Mrs. Seaton was a communicant of St. Michael's Catholic Church in the Onondaga Hill area of Syracuse, N.Y. and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she also enjoyed traveling, sailing, golf, bowling, and time shared with her family. On November 18, 1950 at St. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church in Queens Village, N.Y. she was married to Robert Vincent Seaton who predeceased her on February 3, 1984. She leaves five sons; Robert Seaton of Norfolk, Va., William Seaton of Hershey, Pa., Michael Seaton of East Dover, Vt., Andrew Seaton of Hinesburg, Vt. and Peter Seaton of Syracuse, N.Y., one daughter, Patricia Seaton of Reston, Va., 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters; Rosemary Hoagland, Eileen Euler and Joan Euler. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service in remembrance of Mrs. Seaton will take place in the spring at the convenience of the family.
