Robert S. Cote 1960 - 2011 BRATTLEBORO Robert "Steve" Cote, 50, of Western Avenue, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, July 1, 2011, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H. Steve was born in Holyoke on Dec. 7, 1960, the son of Robert E. and Carol Neal Cote. A resident of Brattleboro since 1975, he was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, Class of 1979. He went on to attend Laney Junior College in Oakland, Calif. A carpenter by trade for the last 30 years, he owned and operated his own business, Steve Cote Contractor. Of his pastimes and interests he was an ardent outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and time shared with his family. Since his youth, he studied Judo and attained the brown belt status. Steve was also a proud member of the N.R.A. On Oct. 12, 1985, in Brattleboro, he was married to Lisa M. Norcia who survives. Besides his wife of 25 years, he leaves two sons, Luke and Jake Cote, both of Brattleboro, his parents of Holyoke, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Cote. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church, Walnut Street, with the Rev. Richard O'Donnell, pastor, as celebrant. A reception will follow the Mass to be held at the American Legion on Linden Street.
