Marianne Barlow

Marianne Barlow (Ronspies) Marianne was born to Julia and Reinhart Ronspies in Pierce, NE on January 25, 1929. She was married on June 8, 1954 to Alvin M. Barlow at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierce. Marianne was a resident of Broomfield, CO and member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church since 1969. She passed away April 15, 2013 at Juniper Village in Louisville Colorado. She was 84 years ago. Marianne taught grade school for 44 years in Nebraska and Colorado. From 1972-1976 she was a parochial school teacher at Holy Cross in Thornton, CO and from 1977-1994 she taught at Blessed Sacrament in Denver, CO. She loved traveling and spending time with her family. In the early 1990's she started The Ronspies Family Reunion which became very popular throughout the years. She also spent many years volunteering to coach Colorado Spelling Bee students at Blessed Sacrament. Her favorite annual trip was to Hawaii to visit her daughter, Lynn. She also loved day trips to Blackhawk and Central City for gambling and sightseeing. She is survived by her children, Roxanne Barlow, Jim (Meg) Barlow, Jerry Barlow, Tom Barlow and one son-in-law Vince Cosner. Sisters; Julie (Don) Blotz, Mildred Hish and brother Dennis (Shirley) Ronspies. Grandchildren; Casey, Adrienne, Kelsey, Luisa and Andrew Barlow. Predeceased by her spouse Alvin Barlow and daughter Lynne (Barlow) Cosner. Also, brothers and sister in-laws respectively, Wilfred (Alice) Ronspies and Eugene (Marilyn) Ronspies and one brother in-law Gerald Hish. The family would like to give special thanks to the Juniper Village of Louisville Colorado. Your special attention, respect, dignity and love for our Mother in her final years will never be forgotten. A catholic rosary was held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 7:00 PM and the funeral services were Friday April 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Broomfield, CO.
