Leola Casias Ynostroza 63, of Westminster, CO., and formerly of Cortez, passed away Jan. 30, 2013. Leola will be missed by all that had the fortune to have known her. Her friends and family cherish every moment they had with her. Leola was a retired retail clerk. During her years of employment she gave the K-Mart corporation 33 years of dedicated service. She was born in Raton, New Mexico and spent her early childhood in Brilliant, Colorado. She later moved to Denver, Colorado and graduated from Manual High School in 1968. Leola married Joe Ynostroza in 1969 and spent a few years in Denver before relocating to Cortex not long after her husband took a position with the Colorado State Patrol. She spent 17 happy years in the Cortez area and raised three children who all three attended the Montezuma Cortez High School. Leola lost her husband to a car accident in 1989 she moved and settled in Westminster, CO. not long after with her children. Leola was a sweet, kind lady who enjoyed most of all being a grandma and making cookies for her two grand-children Brianna and Darian. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and cooking her infamous Mexican dinners. Leola loved nothing more than spending time with her family and going to Mass. Leola was preceded in death by her husband Joseph A. Ynostroza, and her son Dennis Michael Ynostroza. She is survived by her son Joe Ynostroza and Daughter Gina Ynostroza, her grand children Brianna and Darian Ynostroza, all of Broomfield, CO., her brothers George and Dave Casias both of Denver, CO., her sisters Emily Castro of Westminster, CO and Maybel Abeyta of Aurora, CO., and numerous friends and family. A rosary will be read at 7:00 p.m. Feb. 4, 2013 at the Rundus Funeral Home located at 1998 W. 10th Ave. Broomfield, CO., and a Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 5, 2013 at St. Mark's Catholic Church located at 3141 W. 96th Ave. Westminster, CO.
