Margaret Ovsak Obituary
Margaret 83 went home to God on March 27th after a courageous 3 year battle with lung cancer. She was born Oct 17, 1929 in Fargo, ND, and raised in Dilworth MN. She married Charles Olson in 1950 and they had a son, Michael. Charles was killed in the Korean Conflict in 1952. She married James Ovsak in 1956, and had 3 more children, Kathleen(Susie), Anne and Thomas. Margaret was a house wife, raising her family mostly by herself while Jim was a traveling salesman for Walgreen's. They moved to Broomfield in 1972, and Margaret remained there until the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Ovsak, her parents William and Bernice Condon, her sister Kathleen Glass, her son Michael Olson, and her grandson Charles Olson. She is survived by her brother Bernard Condon, daughter's Kathleen (Jim) Duvall, Anne (Scott) Fricker, and son Thomas (Dorothy) Ovsak. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Paul, Abby, Casey, Claranne, Margaret, and Samantha, as well as great-grandchildren Lily, DJ, and Regan. Margaret was a good wife and mother who devoted her life to her family and making a beautiful home for them. She suffered many losses and hardships in her life, and was an inspiration to all who came to know her. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to take a moment to thank some very special people. Thanks to the wonderful staff at Boulder/Broomfield Hospice who helped to make her transition easier, mentally and physically. Thanks to Melissa Holcomb for her help and friendship. Thanks to Michelle Lobato her care giver for her unfailing love & attention until the very end. Especially Thanks to Dorothy Ovsak daughter in law for her loving care and being with Margaret at her side until the very end. Rosary & Viewing will be at 12:45pm on Monday Apr, 1st at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church in Broomfield, CO. Followed by Funeral Mass at 2pm. Flower's may be sent to Nativity or a donation may be made to Boulder Broomfield Hospice of Boulder.
