Charles Edward Strubelt, 65, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 after a valiant battle with liver cancer at his daughter's Kansas City home with her at the bedside.

Charles was born June 9, 1947 in Brownsville, Texas to Arthur Walter Strubelt and Anita Maria Strubelt.

He graduated from the University of Houston in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree and pursued a career in the chemical industry in Houston, Texas. Charles worked his entire career with Exxon as a chemist. After retirement he worked for Nalco-Exxon as a sales consultant. He left us way too soon and will be eternally missed by all that knew and loved him.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert John Strubelt.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Elizabeth Ann Strubelt-Beatty, and husband, Douglas; precious granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Beatty, all of Kansas City, Mo.; two sisters, Minerva Saenz and Cecilia Moody; four brothers, Arthur Strubelt, Jr., Alfred Strubelt, Hector Strubelt and John Strubelt.

A private Memorial Service will be held at a later date and the deceased will undergo cremation.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Houston Temple Alabanza Inc., 2801 Hopper Road, Houston, Texas 77093.
