JESSE EDWARD CLIVE III

Jesse Edward Clive III, 25, entered eternal rest on Monday, June 17, 2013, on impact in a one vehicle accident.

Jesse was born Jan. 31, 1988, on Super Bowl Sunday, in Brownsville, Texas, and was a lifelong area resident.

He graduated from Hanna High School in 2006 and was currently attending the University of Texas at Brownsville. Jesse proudly served a two-year tour in the United States Navy in the Global War On Terrorism, in which he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War On Terrorism Service Medal. He also received medals for Expert Pistol Shot and Expert Rifleman. After active duty, he became disabled after sustaining injuries from a motorcycle accident in 2008.

Jesse was brilliant with anything that included technology. He was a very warm and kind-hearted man who would do anything to make another person happy. Jesse was a very selfless individual.

He will be greatly missed and we will be reunited together one day.

He is survived by his mother and father, Esmeralda Escobedo and Jesse Edward Clive II; paternal grandmother, Virginia Hernandez Clive; maternal grandmother and grandfather, Genoveva Escobedo and Eliel Escobedo; two sisters, April Florence Clive and Ely Monalisa Cortina; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal Grandfather Jesse Edward Clive Sr. and maternal Uncle Elias Escobedo.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, June 21, 2013, with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the North Chapel of Trevino Funeral Home, 1355 Old Port Isabel Road.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 22, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Serving as Pallbearers: Hector Rolando Sanchez, Edgar Eliel Sanchez, Andrew Gutierrez J.R. Barreda, David Barreda, Daniel Barreda, Elias Esteban Escobedo, and Michael Joseph Clive.
