Blas Carlos, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 in Brownsville, Texas.|
He is preceded in death by his parents, Celso Carlos and Tomasa A. Carlos.
He is survived by his loving wife Magdalena Carlos; his children, Silvia Bertha Ruiz (Eloy), Tommy Del Bosque (Josue), Martha Alicia Lopez (Domingo), Rosendo Carlos (Francisca), Blas Carlos (Miriam), Vickie Carlos, Rosalinda Carlos, Dora Carlos and Griselda Arreola (Isidro); 14 grandchildren, Isis, Anahi, Ivan, Edgar, Josue, Brenda, Isidro, Rosendo Jr., Abigail, Samuel, Evelyn, Blas, Ana and Diego; one great-grandchild, Alexis, and 10 siblings.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 555 W. St. Francis with entombment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park Mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rosendo Carlos, Blas C. Carlos, Eloy Ruiz, Josue Del Bosque, Domingo Lopez and Isidro Arreola. Honorary pallbearers will be Ivan Carlos and Isis Gissela Lopez.
As per Mr. Carlos's wishes in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children's Cancer Society; a donation box will be provided.
