Jennifer Lynn Vittitoe McCormack Obituary
MCCORMACK

Jennifer Lynn Vittitoe McCormack was born on Aug. 28, 1978, in McAllen, Texas.

She and her parents moved to Harlingen two years later. After a long struggle with illness, she passed into eternity on Jan. 24, 2013. She was 34 years old.

Jennifer graduated from Harlingen High School South in 1996. She participated in the Mighty Hawk Band and was a proud member and officer on the Southern Stars Dance Team. After graduation she attended Texas State University in San Marcos. Jennifer proudly performed on the recognized Texas State Strutter Drill Team. She was also a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority.

The happiest moment in Jennifer's life was her marriage to Ryan Andrew McCormack in San Antonio on Oct. 15, 2011. Both radiated with joy. Jennifer provided immense support to Ryan during his year-long tour to Iraq with the U.S. Army in 2009-2010. After their marriage, they moved to Apopka, Fla., where Ryan now attends Golf School. Ryan tried to take the Texas out of the girl, but he was not very successful.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Ryan; her parents, Craig H. & Gail Vittitoe, and Michael and Virginia McCormack of Palm Desert, Calif. She is also survived by her grandmother, Rosemary Mueck of Bishop, Texas; her godmother, Eva Mae Garza of Brownsville, Texas; aunts, uncles and cousins. They are maternal Uncle Tommy Mueck of Caranco, La., and his two children, Clint Mueck and Diane Mueck (Richard) Felis; paternal Aunt Dana Standefer and her two children, Lauren and Jared (deceased); Aunt Lynn (Bruce) Turner; Aunt Judy Vittitoe; Uncle Roger (Diana) Vittitoe, and his children R.C., Jackie and Jon; cousin Shannon (Jason) Johnston, and her children Alyssa & J.T.; brother-in-law Michael (Cari) McCormack and nephews Andrew and Colby; brother-in-law Glenn (Julia), and nephew Dylan (Clickity Clack).

Jennifer is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Floyd M. Mueck and paternal grandparents Harold and Elaine Vittitoe. She is also preceded in death by her cousin Jared Standefer.

Jennifer was a beautiful girl with a loving heart. She fought the good fight and now is at peace resting in the comforting arms of our Lord. To love Jennifer and be loved by her was very special.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not inflated. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered or quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury. Love does not delight over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love perseveres through all things. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13: 4-7)

Family will receive friends from 5 o'clock to 8 o'clock during the evening on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at the Marriot Courtyard, 1725 W. Filmore Ave., Harlingen, Texas.
