Rafaela Hernandez Obituary
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Guadalupe Alamaraz (Joe), Rosie Hernandez and Janie Cerda (Rogelio), and her son Vidal Hernandez (Margarita); 13 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary service at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 25, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.
Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Vidal Hernandez, Joe Almaraz, Rogelio Cerda, Vidal Hernandez Jr., Roger Cerda and Jason Cerda.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, cemetery and mausoleum. 125 McDavitt Blvd., Brownsville, TX 78521. (956) 541-5400. Dignity Memorial Provider.

Hi Grandma, thinking about you more often especially this month. I remember how you would "remind" us that your birthday was just around the corner and it was just the beginning of the month. My daughter does that too. This month is bitter sweet because even though you and my daughter have birthdays it is also the month God decided to take you to live with him. Grandma, I can't believe its been a year. Just the other day I needed you and wanted to go to your apt like before. I know your happy but I'm always going to miss you. than being a mommy and our grandma for life.
Grandma so proud of her family and that's in her heart to stay,

Grandma I think of you often. At times I pick the phone and begin to dial your number then I remember I wont hear your voice on the other end. I get sad but I remember things like your favorite movies " what's love got to do with it" "Enough" " What about Bob" "Mrs Doubtfire" , your apartment always smelling like vanilla, your pototoe salad with the hard boiled eggs still whole, that was funny! Your yummy pollo en salsa, your "talented" dancing ablilities. All of this make me smile. I love you,,,, Patty

Grandma miss you very much. I found myself at times picking up the phone starting to dial your number then I remember I can't hear your voice anymore, it makes me sad but then I remember all the funny things you did and all the crazy things Iyou would say. I remember your potatoe salad w those Big chunks of boiled eggs uncut, super funny! Your apartment always smelling like vanilla. Your yummy pollo en salsa! Thunderstorms, Your favorite movies "what about bob" "enough" "Mrs doubtfire" and of course "what's love got to do with it" I have a lot of good memories that make me smile. So when I eat one of your" famous" dishes or surfing the t.v and see one of your favorite flicks on I think of you and smile. I love you!

Grandma, I miss you everyday. I think of you a lot. I hear tejano music and I could see you dancing around. You were always a happy person. You always made everyone laugh.
