TOMAS GARZA Jr. Obituary
Tomas Garza Jr., 73, was called to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 in Brownsville, Texas.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.

He was a very loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a sports enthusiast.

Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Berta Garza; a brother, Enrique Garza, and a sister, Margarita Salas.

He is survived by his brothers, Gonzalo (Berta) and Juan (Frances) Garza; sisters, Viola and Flora Garza, Maria (Jose) Garcia, and Aurora (Genaro) Hernandez.

Left behind to treasure his eternal memory is his wife of over 50 years, Paula Galvan Garza; his three sons, Tomas Garza III, Alfredo (Natalie) Garza, Hector (Janie) Zamarripa; his two daughters, Esmeralda (Eddie) Rendon and Yolanda Zamarripa; his 12 grandchildren, Roy Patrick Tamayo, Jonathan Patrick Melchor, Shantia Lampros, Shancy, Freddy and Josh Garza, Samantha, Sabrina and Eduardo III Rendon, Hector Omar, Leo, and Laura Zamarripa; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Jade Rios and Keegan Michael Troncoso, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eduardo Rendon IV, Jonathan Melchor, Leo Zamarripa, Alex Flores, Freddy Garza Jr. and Juan Garza. Honorary pallbearers will be Eduardo Rendon III, Roy Patrick Tamayo, Hector Omar Zamarripa and Joshua Garza.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista with interment to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
