James Frank Broden, 75, of Harlingen, Texas passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2009, surrounded by his family.
Frank was a graduate of Harlingen High School and Texas A&I University. He served in the U.S. Army and was a long time Harlingen businessman. He was an avid college football fan, a steadfast friend, and always quick to joke.
Frank was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Friedel.
He is survived by his brother, Alfred Broden and wife, Martha; children, Bryan Broden, Shana Broden Becker and husband Chris, James Bradley Broden and wife, Wendi; his grandchildren, Brandon, Devin, Symphony, Austin, Tyler James and his loyal cat, Bo.
Frank requested no funeral service, but, in accordance with his wishes, will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas next to his grandson, Josh.
The children would like to thank the many friends and extended family members that supported Frank during his illness.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Salvation Army or to the charity of one's choice.
