Alderic Aurele Gagne Obituary
Mr. Alderic Aurele Gagne, 102, was born November 29, 1907 in Manchester, NH, son of Joseph H. Gagne and Elysiane (Levesque) Gagne.

He resided in Manchester and Bedford for most of his life eventually settling in Brownsville, Texas. He credited his 3rd grade education of math and reading, taught by Roman Catholic Nuns, for his success in securing work during the Great Depression, and thereafter.

He married Theresa C. Dechenes of St. Jean Port Joli, PQ, Canada with whom he celebrated 78 years of marriage. Prior to settling in Brownsville in 1993, they lived a short while in Mexico and traveled worldwide together before her passing in 2005 at the age of 98. Also predeceased by a son, Leo Gagne in 2003, he is survived by his son, Albert C. Gagne of Brownsville, also his son and daughter-in-law, Armand and Constance Gagne of Bedford, NH. With a doctorate in humility from the university of life, this man of compassion, always spoke on the great importance of the most lowly jobs he saw performed.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial with internment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, in Allenstown, NH, under the direction of Petit Funeral Home, 167 Main St., Pembroke, NH, and (603) 485-9573.

His family and friends thank the dedicated staff at Doctors Hospital, Solara Hospital, and South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital. Of special mention the CCU Staff and doctors at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Local arrangements were entrusted to Darling-Mouser Funeral Home, 945 Palm Blvd., Brownsville, TX, 78520, and (956) 546-7111.
