It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Ester Morales on Wednesday, July 3, 2013.|
She was a beautiful, loving, and generous woman with an endearing smile, laugh, and spirit.
She was born on Aug. 22, 1955, in Brownsville, Texas.
She fell in love with and married Fernando Morales O'Horan. Together they raised two children in Corpus Christi and relocated to San Antonio in 2001.
Ester was passionate about life and family. She adored her devoted husband of 36 years and cherished time with their children. She treasured sweet moments with her three precious grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Nana".
She was a caring friend and committed to her work as a Family Specialist at El Dorado Elementary School.
She loved music, dancing, and had a beautiful singing voice. She was the bond that kept the family close and the spirit that brightened up a room.
Ester is preceded in death by her father Lazaro P. Morales.
She is survived by her husband, Fernando; daughter, Melissa and husband Carlos and grandson Rafael Carlo Gautreaux; son, Adam and wife Misty and granddaughters Meadow and Milan Morales; mother, Rosa A. Mendez; sister, Hortencia Saucedo; brother, Gene and wife Gloria Morales; brother, Hector Morales; sister, May and husband Ernest Lopez III; and nieces and nephews, Bernadette, Cristina, Nelson, Eric, David, Khrystal, Andy, Jessica, Bobby, Leslie, Lynnsey, Chelsea, and Ashleigh.
Visitation/viewing will be held at 10 in the morning on Thursday, July 11, at Funeral Caring USA, 6500 IH 35 North, in San Antonio Texas. (210) 822-4445. funeralcaringusa.com.
Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston at 1:30 in the afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Ester's memory be honored through contributing to the children and families of El Dorado Elementary School at 12634 El Sendero St., San Antonio, Texas 78233.
