Domingo Gonzalez, 56, was born in Edinburg, Texas on Sept. 29, 1957, to Jose Cortez Gonzalez and Mariana Gonzalez.|
He was a lifelong resident of Brownsville, Texas. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle, who entered on to the Glory of his eternal life on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
He was a member and actively involved at "El Mundo Feliz Center. He was baptized and raised as a Roman Catholic.
Domingo is preceded in death by his father Jose Cortez Gonzalez and Brother Staff Sgt. Jesus Gonzalez.
He is survived by his mother Mariana Gonzalez, his brothers Jose (Joe) Gonzalez of Brownsville, Texas, Emilio (Elva) Gonzalez, Juan (Francis) Gonzalez, both from Corpus Christi, Texas and his sisters Martha G. Vasquez from Houston, Texas and Ester G. Sepulveda from Robstown, Texas. A niece that holds a special place in his heart Jennifer Lynn Vasquez-Gurrola from Houston, Texas. Also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A very special thanks to the people that assisted in taking care of him were Anna Julia Hernandez and Luis Carlos Marin. We are very grateful that they were in his life.
Services will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home-Brownsville.
Followed by Religious service and Interment to Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.

under his name.
He was a valiant cancer fighter until his end.
