Margaret Sifford Cobb, 95, of Supply passed away Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center.
Born in Cabarrus County on Jan. 4, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Lee and Minnie Lee Tickle Sifford. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George Milton Cobb Jr.; and two sisters, Lorine S. McBride and Juanita S. Turcotte.
She was a charter member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, and was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Shallotte Lodge 341 and was a past Worthy Grand Matron. She will be fondly remembered for her love of travel and love of family.
Survivors include her son, George Milton Cobb III and wife, Wanda, of Holden Beach; daughter, Dianne Cobb Griffin and husband, Ken, of Concord; two grandchildren, Scott Woodward of Kannapolis and Roddy Cobb and wife, Lisa, of Mooresville; and two great-grandchildren, Mason and Ella Cobb.
Memorial services were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at St. Luke Lutheran Church.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks with gratitude that monetary donations be made in her name to St. Luke Lutheran Church, 5869 Ocean Highway,
Ocean Isle Beach NC 28469.

Mom you will be missed as a mom and a great friend. You were always there when I needed help over the years. I loved you dearly and you will always be next to my heart. Thank you for all the wonderful years growing up and traveling to the coast camping. One SPECIAL lady.

We will surely miss Margaret . She was an upbeat person and always wore a smile. I loved to look at all of her collectibles from around the world . She had beautiful antiques .
