Anita Bell Obituary

Mrs. Anita F. Bell, 74, of Fayetteville, died Wedneday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Womack Army Medical Center.
Anita was an avid lover of the beach. She and her husband spent the majority of their time at Holden Beach where they had their second home.
She was active and enjoyed swimming, fishing, line dancing and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a Red Cross Volunteer in medical records at Womack Army Hospital.
She had been actively involved in the success of local political campaigns. She had served as supervisor of her local election poll.
She was a member of the College Lakes "Lakettes" Senior Line Dance Association. She lived life to the fullest.
Her love for God, family, friends and her community will forever be an example for us to follow.
She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and community.
A funeral service was at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Burial followed in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Lorman T. Hodges and Flonnie Mae Hodges of Dunn.
Surviving are her husband, John R. Bell, daughter, Donna Crocker and husband Bobby; sons, Tim Bell and wife Lori, and Todd Bell, all of Fayetteville; brothers, Robert L. Hodges and Gene Hodges, both of Dunn; and sisters, Betty Lou Hood of Garner, and Shirley Brum of Myrtle Beach. S.C.; grandchildren, Brad Crocker of Fayetteville, and Ashley Bell of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and great-grandchildren Harmoni Crocker, Christopher Crocker, and their mother Theresa, all of Fayetteville; adopted daughter, Tina Odom and husband Tarzan of Hope Mills; nieces and nephews, the D'Innocengo, Mullins, Volk, Boschan, Turney, Godwin and Foster families all of the New England Area.
The family received friends Monday, Jan. 14, one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Arrangements by Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
