Marvin Burnell Braddy, 78, of Sunset Beach, died Wednesday, March, 26, 2014, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 15, 1935, in Halifax County, to the late Arthur and Susie Johnson Braddy. He was a retired research and design engineer and U.S. Coast Guard veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Dinah Anderson Braddy; son, Timothy "Tim" Braddy and wife, Julie, of Hendersonville; daughter, Tracey Suzanne Braddy of Chesapeake, Va.; two brothers, Alvin Braddy of Greenville and Melvin Braddy of Birmingham, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Zachary Laye, Madison Braddy, Mayrn Braddy and Morgan Braddy.
A Celebration of Life was conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, in Seaside United Methodist Church.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Braddy for a short time. In that short time he made an impact in my life. He was a special person with a big heart… a "hole in one. " He will surely be missed by his amazing family and everyone else.
